Yep, that is right baby! Trent and I are headed to Kauai in May for our 10 yr anniversary, the hotel is a Hilton 5 star resort & spa on the beach. The best part is that it is 100% free!!

we stayed there for our anniv last June it is really nice on the inside. Don't be scared by how old the outside looks from the front. It's not that bad, but it does look pretty old. The beach in front of the hotel is pretty rocky, but the pool(s) are SO NICE. I highly recommend Keoki's Restaurant in Poipu. VERY Romantic and SOOOO YUMMY! The Thai shrimp sticks are to DIE for!! I have some pics on my blog, it was posted last Nov if you want to check it out.
p.s. gas is cheapest at the Costco in Lihue

ugh!!! i am jealous. can you believe it's been 10 years. you will have so much fun. rob has no interest going to tropical paradises, but we are probably heading to holland!! fun, fun!!
Kristy, thanks for the insider info, everyone recommended that island. We just want to relax and do nothing, and eat! and I think we found our spot!!
I love it but I am so jealous! You guys are going to be lounging at the beach while we will be up all night with a new baby! Hope you have double the fun... for us! We will catch you next time!
If you need any other info, or good spots to visit. Let me know. We were only there 3 days and were in the car trying to see everything for most of it. We didn't get the chance to relax on the beach (we decided we can do that anytime!) so I don't know of the "good beaches" to hang out on, but there are some cool things to see. Waimea Canyon is pretty cool and so is the Spouting Horn at Poipu.
We're going in May also! But our trip isn't FREE (nice!!!) and we'll be on a different island. Actually our trip WAS free but it was a Carabbean cruise provided by Jon's work and we couldn't bring the girls. So we're going to HI instead :P Funny how our free cruise turned into a very expensive trip to HI. Hmmm....When are you going???
