New designs

We are busy designing our spring 2010 line and we need your advise.

I would love some feedback from you guys, pretty much everyone who reads my blog wears our label, so who could we get better feed back from?

Spring 10 will have a vintage surf inspired line, so we want to know:
#1. if you like hawaiian prints,
#2. what shirts or styles are your favorite, colors for spring??
#3. do you have any sizing issues (we just upgrades all our shirts- so they do run larger now), etc.
#4. If you could add anything to the line what would it be?? More tees? More shorts? or something else??
Basically please give us your feedback. Any and all feed back and/or ideas are great!

And we will be giving away a surprise $50 value item just for leaving a comment for us. We will randomly pick 2 winners!!!

thanks again!!

#1: LOVE the hawaiian prints! Before I read your post and had just seen the pictures of the shirts, the second one was my favorite. I'm always drawn to the hawaiian style.

#2: Like the brighter colors in spring. Or I guess just colors... blues, greens, yellows, reds. Doesn't narrow it down too much!:)

#3: No sizing issues.

#4: I'm actually not sure of how much you already have of everything but I know tees are usually the easiest, at least for me. I feel like they are still comfortable for them but also look amazing!

I know this doesn't help much, but I can't really think of anything that I would change. You do such an awesome job already and I'm always blown away by your creativity! Good luck with the feedback.

i have to agree with a lot of what the above reader said. i can't wait for the bigger size to come in for my older boys. spring and color is ALWAYS a must!!! i am definitely a knuckleheads t~shirt fan, but the button ups are pretty awesome too ( i do have some shrinking issues...)! the Hawaiian theme is going to be so cute. love it!!

I think T's and shirts with a zipper. T's are what everyone wears and are less expensive, easy care and go with anything.

Have you watched 'Two and half men' show. CHarlie wears some nice shirts, sort of retro.

Hats.. You guys always carry the best hats. I would love to see more of those in your line. They are great for photos!

I love the hawaiian look as well, but I love the 1st shirt too. I do like the colors of the samples, stay with the bright colors: Reds, Yellows, Greens, Teals, Browns - You always have great colors! Only suggestion is my Cameron is long waisted so I would say make the shirts a little longer. And yes more shorts would be great, long board style, with of course a draw string or adjustable waist for the skinny boys.

#1. I'm going to be honest. I'm not really a fan of Hawaiian print. But that is totally just me and really...everyone will probably think I'm a brat for saying. I just wanted to give my honest opinion.
#2. i would suggest like hang ten/op style tees. a little more snug and vintage looking would be so cute on a little boy.
#3. no sizing issues
#4. i think you should do swim trunks. (matthew says dolphin style but that might be pushin' it!!)
I hope my criticism is constructive enough! You know how much I LOVE all things Knuckleheads/Hula Mula. I love that you opened it up to your customers. I know I'll love whatever you decide on!

#1. I too am not a huge fan of hawaiian print. I have to be in the right mood for it I guess. But I am (surprisingly) loving the second shirt.

#2. I like bright colors for spring. I feel the need to lighten things up after a dark winter. :)

#3. The pants always seem to run a little long but I think that might be my child... he always seems to be inbetween sizes!

#4. I would love to see some white tanks. Or even just more of a variety of colors that match the shirts. I personally am all about tees. They're quick, easy and look cute!

Keep up the good work! You guys are awesome!

I agree with a couple of the readers. I'm not big on Hawaiian prints on boys. It just seems a little hokey, not as much retro, which you are the master of. But if maybe you did a western snap shirt and just did the yoke in a hawaiian print, that would be cute? Or maybe a more muted hawaiian print so it's not the main focus.

I like color for spring as well. And some cute hats, more pub!, would be great. I loved the one that you cancelled with the piping. So, bring that one back just for me. :)

I'm also a tee fan. They are easier and seem to fit the best. I like the zipper idea. Could be kind of cool? Maybe like your newborn greaser suit. I loved that it had a zipper!

You do great stuff and it will be fun to see what you do with the feedback.

I agree with Megan about the hawaiian prints, i'm not a big fan. It would be cool to do the Op style vintage surfer polos or a wet suit or rash guard might be cool too.

The only sizing issues are the really small neck holes and the length of the tees could be a little longer. The stomach in the button down shirts are pretty tight usually. The adjustable waist bands would be nice in all of the pants.

My favs are the button down shirts and jackets in cool retro prints as well as pants and shorts. I have the hardest time finding those

New KH items: oi boy suspenders, the infant boxing gloves (mittens) (had to throw that one in for Taber) wallet? I found the coolest wallet with a chain for Redge i'll have to show it to you

Redge is your best critic. I think he has more KH than anyone except Otto LOL. Hope this helps w/o sounding like i'm complaining. We love KH

No to the hawaiian prints. Hawaiian prints are totally 90s and totally overdone. I can tell from your blog you are way more creative than that. Where can I buy your girl clothes? I want that pink polka-dot dress Collin wore in your photo shoot.
