I love summer...
As my dear friend Julie starts her blogs...." I love summer"!
The kids don't really care that their pool is ridiculously small...they are just happy to be out in the sun finally!!! Our summer just started last week, and they have enjoyed it. They finally get to eat popsicles outside and take a lot of walks to the nearby park.

Before 5 become 6
True confessions of a 9month prego woman
We have had a major heatwave around here, with temps over 100, and even though we do have AC (thank goodness) I have been in movie mode, so we take the afternoons off from the office and pack the kids in the car and go see a movie.
We have seen them all!.....every single stinkin movie out. This week alone we saw 3 movies, "transformers, Ratatouie, and harry potter".
My kids love the movies, something they inherited from their father. They love all movies....even Otto, he will sit through any movie.....and just give Lily a bag of popcorn and she is as happy as a clam.
We also have family movie night every friday and get treats and watch a family movie at home, the kids love it and look forward to it. I guess it is our version of family home evening, (since the monday night thing is kinda slackin......I have to justify it).
Also, I might as well come clean while I am at it.......I havn't cooked my family a decent meal in months! I just can't seem to get into the cooking mode, so we have been eating out a bit more lately, (and I promise we will stop and go back to eating properly after this baby is born).
So, Anyhow...we went to Olive Garden the other day and I had the yummiest dinner, the new Shrimp caprise is to dye for! And the shrimps are HUGE and you get like 12 of them. Luckily I had miss Lily to help me eat em all....(she is a shrimp lover).
OK, so now you know.....I ditch out in the middle of the day to watch movies and I don't cook!! LOL

False alarm!!
It is always fun to go to the Hospital in the middle of the night for a few hours then be sent home!! That is exactly what Trent and I did a few nights ago....... It was late at night and I started having contractions about every 5-10 minutes and lasted about 1 hr or so. They were strong enough to make me hold my breath a bit, but not too uncomfortable. So, I grew concerned because my C-section is scheduled for the 31st. So, I called the nurse at the hospital and she says that they don't want me to have ANY contractions because my uterus could explode, because I have had 3 other c-sections...uuhh ok, that sounds scary.
So, she said that I should come in. So, we called Trent's mom to come and stay with the kids and we drove off. But wouldn't you know it, the contractions pretty much slowed down and then stopped as soon as they hooked up my belly to all of the monitors! So, they send us home...how lame huh?
I hope this baby comes soon....I am getting so uncomfortable and antsy. This is our last baby and I am relieved...I am getting too old for this, LOL.
Bytheway....sorry the picture sucks, it was in the middle of the night and I didn't have any lights on the photobooth on my mac!!

Brooklyn's Baptism
Brooklyn got baptised over the weekend! I can't believe that she is eight.....actually I can't believe that I am old enough to have an 8yr old!
We had lots of family come in for the occasion....she is the oldest grandchild and first to be baptised. Daddy baptised her (it was his first) and it was really sweet! Brooklyn wore my baptism dress from the 80s...total jessica mclintock. I must have been a midget because the skirt was too short and the sleeves were too short, but it worked out ok, and I was glad that she got to wear it for all of 2 minutes. She wore a beautful white top and skirt from Eden's Bouquet (a georgous girls line) before and after for pictures.
Afterwards, we had a nice BBQ at grandma and grandpa Nash's house ate food and had a nice layed back day!

4th of July
We had a great 4th of July! We headed to the coast for a little day trip, let the kids play in the freezing water..then we headed home to wait for Nikki & Adam to come and stay for the weekend. We Hung out in the front yard, ate food and watched Trent light off fireworks. It was very low key, and the kids loved it. My kids sure love their cousins, and they were so sad when they left!
